Which is better, watching a movie or a stage play?

These days, people love to watch movies rather than enjoying a live stage play. From these we can really say that we already forgot the old tradition of lively, active plays. Well, also we can’t blame people for forgetting this old tradition for nobody is patronizing it nowadays. Let’s get to the point that more people love to watch movies in the comfort of their own homes but wouldn’t it be better to be seating in front of a stage while a play is going on well, except not too close for some liquid might splash on your face. Well that’s not the point, what I mean is try giving a shot on viewing a play for once.

For me, watching a stage play is better for its more realistic and you really feel the emotions of the characters. They really exert much effort in memorizing lines and doing the choreography all at once plus, the show is live so it really puts pressure on them for if they make a mistake, they couldn’t have a chance to undo it. Unlike in movies, obviously, one actor makes lots of mistakes but due to patching up those ugly scenes, no more of that would be played in television. And, stars in a stage play are really well practiced, well prepared and better in portraying their roles rather than the ones in the movies and television, they have stuntmen instead of them to do the thrilling role themselves so I really could say that movies are not as realistic as stage plays.

Though most people seldom watch stage plays, they would learn to appreciate it once they started viewing it. Not all plays are boring but some movies sure are. Not to mention the long dialog in a movie, it really needs sharpening and lots of relentless efforts of the director and editing team and not the actors compared with the play, it is really the actors who need to edit and make their actions perfect for they cannot change what they’ve done in the actual show time.
