Modern Day Heroes

BOCAUE, BULACAN -- The 13-year-old boy who died while saving four children from drowning after a pagoda sank during fluvial festivities here on July 8, 1993, has been hailed as a modern hero in a newly published school textbook.
Sajid Bulig, an elementary school student, is remembered for his bravery and heroism when he saved the children during the Krus sa Wawa feast, in what came to be known as the “Pagoda Tragedy,” according to the book “Ang Lahing Pilipino sa Nagbabagong Panahon” written by Ela Rose Sablaon and Lazelle Rose Pelingo.
According to the book, which is written in Filipino, “A pagoda vessel ferrying many passengers sank during the 1993 annual Pagoda festival in Bocaue. Sajid was among the 279 fatalities of that accident. He died after rescuing four children from drowning.”
The book, which was published in February 2007 by Rex Bookstore, is used as a textbook for Sibika classes in private and public elementary schools.
Uanjiza Mercado, Sajid’s sister who teaches computer courses at St. Paul Catholic School here, said her brother made the family proud every time the town celebrates the annual Krus sa Wawa festivities.
Bulig’s story of heroism is found in a chapter on the “Mga Huwarang Filipino” under the topic “Mga Makabagong Bayani.”
“I am glad that many of our children are interested in Sajid’s life and the good things he did. He serves as a real model for the youth today,” Mercado told the Philippine Daily Inquirer, parent company of INQUIRER.net.
Edna Zerrudo, Department of Education’s schools division superintendent in Bulacan province, said the book was a good educational tool that teachers can use to teach students about Bulig’s bravery and heroism.
Jamil Mercado, 9, a Grade 3 pupil at St. Paul Catholic School who uses the book in her Sibika class, said many of her classmates looked up to Sajid as a young hero. Sajid is also Mercado’s uncle.
In July 2002, the Kapatiran ng Birheng Presentacion from the City of Malolos and its affiliated groups built in Barangay Bambang here a monument of Bulig carrying on his arms a small child.
Erlinda Bulig, Sajid’s mother, said she and her family had been offering prayers and flowers at the monument and his tomb at the Bambang cemetery every July 8.
Following the boat tragedy, festivities were suspended from 1994 to 1999 but resumed in 2000 with less fanfare.

Hey! Is Being Excused Nice??
Well, anyways, most of my classmates are used of being excused but I highly salute them for they can easily get a kick back our lessons… For me, I think it’s quite hard… Ha! Well, anyways, life is full of obligations, without these… you’d lose your ability to venture into more stuffs.
Sometimes you just have to sacrifice stuffs to get some things, well actually not get but gain more experience in life. If you have had your share with these understandings well, you obtain clarity of mind…
What you get out of different stuffs depends on what you do in life. If you’d just slouch every day, nothings going to happen to your life but if you really want to catch back up, well put yourself together and go for the gold. Much effort means you really want to have the fulfillment you desire!
Back to my whole school days this week, well, I didn’t learn any new lessons except for what I was reading. Anyways I really want to go back classes ASAP but I can’t just yet well, I just hope they didn’t go that far already… and being excused can either bet good or bad depends on how you handle it.

Any problems? Take time To Forget
Anyways, I’m not talkative, yes you might say that and what do I know about such mere stuffs. Well, only those who had acquired knowledge through time and looked at life in a whole new way around will only be the ones able to get what some things mean. Yes, problems are of a big tasks but reach those hands of thee and you’ll find out that someone will lend you theirs. There’s always a person who cares, they’re just around the corner.
Well, personally, we all have problems. Some are too light to be talked about but others are just too heavy to be spilled out. Still, having friends are the best ways to get away from problems. At least you can talk to them or if you’re the loner type who just wants to keep it all for yourself, well I advise you to take a shout out of it all. Sometimes you just have to be alone to figure this out all for yourself.
Valor is stability, not of the legs and arms but of the spirit and soul. Have the courage to take it all out for thee not to be burdened. Remember, problems come and go but the friends, knowledge and experienced from these troubles you’ve encountered will help you over time!

Getting Sick Takes Out a Lot of Energy...
The mere thought of getting sick can bring symptoms of a head cold. It's miserable. You have no energy to do anything. Work, errands, chores all of sudden become huge burdens, obstacles on the rode to recovery. But before we're bed-ridden, we know it's coming. The imminent congestion or fever or cold begins to reveal itself a day or two in advance. It starts with some soreness, maybe a fog washes over you. Maybe it's just the slightest tickle in your throat. Before you succumb, bolster your immune system and stave off those pesky germs before they really hit hard.
Drink a lot of water. If you feel the onset of a cold start drinking water immediately. Dehydration weakens the body's ability to fight infection.
Eat healthy food: fruits and uncooked or steamed vegetables and a small portion of protein. The natural sugar in fruit and the protein (meat, chicken) offer energy during the day, while the vegetables can be great antioxidants.
Rest. Since you're not yet ill, you're probably having to go work, school, take care of the kids, or whatever full-time task you may have. That leaves little rest for the weary. Take a short nap during the day if you can. Most importantly, don't overly exert yourself, physically and mentally, if you can manage it.
Take cold medicine (if your symptoms have increased during the day) and go to bed early. Even if you're not tired, force yourself to lie down. Your body should be exhausted enough to sleep, even if you don't feel entirely ill.
If you’d ask me if I followed that, yes but still chances lead me to sickness. No matter if I run away from those who have them, they keep following me. Woah! I got sick now! I can’t believe it. I hate being sick. It takes a lot out of you. Next time, I hope people would learn how to avoid infecting others.

Go to Bed!
How important is sleep anyway? Well, I have you know, this is an essential routine by any human being. In this state, the mind and the body comes to a partial halt which doesn't mean anything like you're thinking literally. It means those parts of the body rest from too much strenuous activities done by us. If I may ask you the time you sleep at night probably you'd answer at about past twelve pm or so. Well, I hate to say this because I do this as well, that is an abuse to yourself!
Effects of sleeping late? some have bad experiences in sleeping late others may find it normal if they are used to late hours. Generally, sleeping late harms our health, you will feel dizzy in the morning when you wake up, you will find food uninteresting, you will miss morning exercises which puts vigor and strengths in our body, you will feel nauseated every time you wake up in the morning and wanted only to sleep for the whole year!
Anyways, it will take a toll out of your brain as well. It will slow down your thinking skills, like a rusty machine, well if you did experience that, just get back from those sleepless nights you've encountered! That's the best tip ever! Anyways, it's up to you if you'd follow or not. What's important is yourself! Take very good care of it!

Another Day Tomorrow
I’ll tell you the story of our simple chemistry project which turned into an overnight bonanza at a house we didn’t expect we’d go to that day. 8 o’clock was our settlement time, well for me and Ten though. She called me at about 7 am to check if I was still sleeping. I answered the phone and told her I’d be at Kat’s house in a minute. If it hadn’t been for too many hold ups in our house, I’d be there on the right time! Well, I arrived 15 minutes late. Justin the followed at about 9 am. There was no intrnet connection at Kat’s house so it led us to the decision of going to Ten’s house. We never expected we wouldn’t be able to finish the chem. Project for one day so we jumped to the conclusion of an overnight. We all got the permission of our parents for it was already late at night. Poor Justin here wasn’t even ale to talk to his mom that 11 pm for his family was all asleep already or maybe his mother asked the help of a search party to look for him. Well, anyways, we were able to finish the bloody thing and were able to sleep. The next day, we went home all tired and not yet done with our other homework left unattended. Well, who knows, maybe another day tomorrow, we’d be having something unexpected happening again right??
What A Hectic Week!
Anyways, there were lots of nice stuffs that happened during the camp. I’ll just share a few of them. At first, we didn’t do anything but lie around the quarters waiting for something to happen. Maybe we were not the first school to arrive but when we got there, there were only a few participants. Heck, I didn’t think of the camp like that. I thought we would be busier than usual. Anyways, the next day was crucial. There, we were taught a little about doing the research, had our own “terrible” grouping… Why? Because Katrina and I got to the Blue Team. We thought it was a systematized group but to our surprise, it wasn’t. They were horrible! We already thought of something like a new cheer and steps but they keep on changing it over and over again! So, we didn’t get awards for that day. Ah, alas, we called our team the team who has no future. The opposite came on the second day. We garnered four awards. Not bad at least it’s worth the effort!
When we got home, I did what I had to do for the holiday, visit my grandpa. Well, there were an awful lot of people in the cemetery. My sister and I didn’t stay for long for we will be doing something else. Well it had been an awful, long and tiring week…

Good bye school, hello sem break!
Anyways, I'm used to it. The homework and stuff, bah, they're part of a "student's" life. And I remember this message said by my teacher before, "never think of homework as burden it's part of life, like a challenge, it'll make you learn from it." Nothing is worth it if you won't die for it. Now I'm not saying you die for your homework for it's worth it. Just take it easy. Nothing will be accomplished if you'll pressure yourself! Haha, take time to relax and enjoy yourself. Nothing here exists without any good pleasure in it. Well, I'm making it short for I'm so excited about my own sem break. Well, got to go and enjoy my free time, till next time. Send me a post card if you'll go somewhere. Heh! happy one week vacation! \m/^_^\m/

A tiring Week
Well, I didn't go home for we stayed at school to work out our newspaper. Well that was a long night. Some slept for hours while some of us worked their butts off doing the whole thing. Our eyes almost got stuck the computer. Anyways, what do people with no sleep 24/7 get, well reduced memory that's it. Until now for I still haven't got some rest, I feel a bit dumb, it's a bit hard understanding anybody for a while. Ha! well, that's worth the experience! Anyways, got to catch some Z's, night!

Basketball with A game of Tag? Red vs. Blue
Ok, as I was saying, This game was so fun, girls tend to commit traveling for they didn't know much about the word "dribbling" heck, anyways, this game is ours! All ours.
I won't make this long. Red Macintosh reigns victorious against Blue Vaio. Well, having played basketball is really great. But the pleasure of watching girls play it is a whole lot better. Like playing tag, when one accidentally lets the ball loose, somebody's going to get it. Then when somebody holds the ball, it seems like football. Tackle! Take 'em down. Hahahahahaha. That's it, that's all. Better watched than told!
Intramurals in Exchange for Something Unexpected
labeled as winners or losers. We seem to instinctively know the
difference.
Right here in the title is an acknowledgment of what most people
want. To be a winner. To feel like a winner. With all the talk of win-
win thinking, we still want to be a winner and to enjoy the positive
emotions that accompany being a winner.
My three days of no Sports Fest actually paid off. Though I was new in the profession, I never expected something big with it for I didn't think I'll make it with only limited time like that. I know copyreading in Filipino and English are both different in medium, they are parallel to what stuffs are done and well the thought. I made it to the 8th place in Filipino level. Though I was almost there, still, this wasn't meant for me. 1-7th gets to go to Batangas on December and 8-15th, well, sorry, better luck next time. There is no such thing as defeat or failure in contests, it's just delayed success. I still have next year and who knows, maybe I'll make it to those lucky 7!
Volleyball Boys Macintosh vs. Vaio
As I was saying, the Blue and Red rivalry had been practiced during most parts of the Sports Fest. Seeing that the Vaios are older than us and have most of the advantages, who'd say our boys won't have the match equal to their extent. Thought as funny, this game was really hilarious! Though Vaios were twice to beat, heck, we took them on!
The game started great! We were already winning. I can see it with their performance. Anyways, yah, I know we've got this game controlled but hehehe, some stuffs really come all of a sudden. When it was the Blue teams turn to serve, Mr. Jayr (don't know if thats the right spelling) Hit Mr. Jake straight on the head. Bull's eye! Right on the spot. Hahahaha, if you saw that, you'll actually burst out laughing.
Ha! Still Macintosh won! We won! Yeah that's right! A nice title, Macintosh pummels Vaio (Um, peace everyone peace! (\ /)
('')
c(")(") Hey it's a bunny, peace guys!)
The Heat is On! All Girls Volleyball Team
Well, as we come to the end of the Intramurals '08-'09 one very significant event in the history of volley ball girls. Would you expect that the 'lil ole missies will beat the older professionals when it comes to volleyball. Heck if I'd tell you the whole thing, from the first time they fought each other, ah, as I watched it from afar, I thought the whole thing was going in our way for I know the Red Macintosh Team were great! And besides, the Green Acers where first years. As the saying goes, never underestimate something which is smaller than you, they eventually pack a punch!
The first fight was so intense, close and very sticky. Red can't get a big lead against the Greenies! If you might wonder, it's only a seven point lead which was almost the biggest lead ever made but this didn't hinder the small but terrible team to fight back, they managed to get those points and win over the Macintosh!
Till the last day of the sports fest, the Macintosh and Acers face each other for the finals. As I thought, we've got the fairest chance of winning for we've already got the first set! Still, History kept repeating itself. Tables turned and we're back at the bottom. Hay, nevertheless EXCELLENT! I salute the first years! Especially their team captain Judith and their ace player, hands down! Helen. Ever heard of Helen of Troy or Helen of the Greeks? Well, She's one amazing history same as those with what I've mentioned earlier! Anyways, This game's closed. Maybe the Right title for this is... Green Acers Lord over Red Macintosh. Sounds pretty, Wow! Go First Years! Till next years fight! We look forward to it!

A Day before the Intramurals
Friday have no classes and Thursday had been caught in between these days so it’s sandwiched and seems like it’s the ham in the middle. Still this day was rather medical in part and last intramurals formal meeting for the red team. Because of that, our Chemistry time was cut and we just managed to answer three items in the quiz, well, before the quiz and Chemistry time, we prepared cross sectional parts of frogs, as part of our Zoology subject. Heck that’s all for the school week for Friday was Alay Lakad in Maragondon. Saturday had been time for Molecules and the medical mission. We saw lots of people having their teeth pulled out and being check-upped. We even had some picture taking with the soldiers there. One even asked me if I even knew who the actor of Mr. Bean was; of course I knew it and answered him. He asked me that because of what I’m wearing. Still, days have to end right? And Sunday finally came. We’re having problems with computer so we’ll have it checked-upped by Mr. PC doctor. Ha, well, this days my Aunt’s birthday so lets celebrate! Cheers! And till next time.

Usually Getting Late
Wont you feel the same if they repeat this process everyday?? I mean five times a day! I can’t take it anymore but I have to deal with it. Anyways they make traveling in the morning fast but the problem is its too early. What I mean about early is, talk about the van leaving at 5:45 AM then returning at 6 AM! Humph and there is a certain someone who is too much in a rush and like being chased by a mad horse. Talk about early… How annoying on our part and they’ll say were very slow for were their relatives very biased on those who doesn’t have a relation in our part! I really hate for that! They never lend an ear for us unless they need us! What a leech…
I think I’m not going too far with my comment for them. Anyways, we hate late so we go early. Sometimes if were always early, we get tired of it and eventually we become late as well to make things even. Hahaha! That is life! We give, “change” and take.

The One I Look Up To : )
Though I was young and naïve back then, she treated me as if I was her own child. Because of her, I understood some things which were adult-like even though I’m still but a child. With her help, I learned to read between the lines and look at life in a better way. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t make it through my whole life of studying. For that, I thank her so much and admire her even though I knew she had some problems before, she smiled through every bit of it. She hid her tears though it hurts sometimes. That’s something hard to do, and I admire and look up to her like that, in a very great way.

... Means There's Nothing to Say
. . . Why can't I say something . . . Hah, anyways, I'll start with my one week experience,
Day 1: An ordinary day the only problem is it's the day before the Periodic Tests Arrive.
Day 2: Ah, the faithful day had come, the first day for the P.T. XD Man! It's a little easy but hard on the other side. Well, normally, a half day...
Day 3: Woah! I didn't expect it to be this hard. Well, anyways, something remarkable happened, it's a half day again! Excellent what a free time : )
Day 4: Ah, yes Thursday, and it's checking time... Well who knows what we score we got.
Day 5: Dirty day for us for it's time to get muddy. Planting malunggay isn't that easy especially if you'd revert back to the time of prehistoric man. You know all those rock stuffs.
Ah, yes, nothing else to say and ... really means that I couldn't say anything much at all for now but wait till next time >: )

Fiddling Around with Languages
Learning a foreign language takes time and dedication. The reasons below may help to convince you to take the plunge, if such persuasion is needed. Some reasons are practical, some aspirational, some intellectual and others sentimental, but whatever your reasons, having a clear idea of why you're learning a language can help to motivate you in your studies.
When you move to a different country or region, learning the local language will help you to communicate and integrate with the local community. Even if many of the locals speak your language, for example if your L1 is English and you move to the Netherlands, it's still worth your while learning the local language. Doing so will demonstrate your interest in and commitment to the new country. Nifty huh?
Ever tried singing a song in a different language. Don't you want to learn all about that kind eh?
Perhaps you just like the sound of a particular language when it's spoken or sung. Or you find the written form of a language attractive. If you like singing, learning songs in other languages can be interesting, challenging and enjoyable. If you're a bit of a linguaholic or whatever you call someone who is fascinated by languages and enjoys learning them, then one language is never enough. 0_o

My Blog Posts don't Relate to ME or My Life????
First of all I've got nothing special this week. I couldn't think of a topic that caught my eye or rang a bell. Hay, I've been so sleepy and bored this week. All we did was answer this watch that but that's fine for me. I'm a student that's what we do everyday.

Friends like Sticky Peanut Butter?
We really couldn’t tell which are true friends from those who are “friends” that we have. Question is do they even treat you as a friend when they just approach you when they need you or worse than that suddenly leave you without even saying good bye in a nice way. Humph! Thanks for even hanging out with me even if it was just because you needed me for nothing because you can’t find any person you can hang out with for your friends are nowhere to be found! Yes that’s right. That’s the main reason of anybody I know anyways. Ya, thanks for your time but spend it for yourself. You don’t need somebody like me if your just looking for somebody to talk to! Then the next day if ever you gave me a bit of your precious time, you’d soon forget about me for you have your usual buddies to hang out with! Ha! That’s what I get for being to quiet. I get left behind unnoticed which really gets to boring for me already.
Even if I try to talk to people, they leave me… Ya, tell me I’m too bad for posting this but, my nature is to feel a striking emotion on a part of me, even if it was just a little bit, still I get hurt easily but I can tell you, bet you didn’t notice that huh? Why, cause I’m very good at hiding it. Tell, have you ever talked to me seriously or when you just needed me??
If you think this post is well, ugly an too crappy, well that’s just what I want to say, tell me if you experience the same, if you get left behind, and your feelings are set aside ha! The best way is to smile and have a happy disposition in life never mind them when you got yourself, you’ve got your own big treasure! Treat yourself nicely!

Something I want to Share with You People
Ehem,, were was I ah yes after "he" had arrived, a standing ovation was given by everybody. Too bad I wasn't able to take the photo. Anyways after that, Ah yes, the joy of a moving bus! haha! I'll show some of those striking poses... First off, lets have a pose which ten
Anyways, everybody needs a stop over right?
Well here's a peep on what kind of toilet we used to remove those "excess load"
Now we saw some soldiers on the way and I did'nt take a photo of them for they might shoot met hehehe just kidding. Anyways here's Kat with her famous line in the bus, " why is it like that I want to take a picture with the soldiers..." Pretty childish huh?
Well actually I only got two because 1) Some animals are just too nocturnal 2) We didn't stay long enough to see more animals coming up later and 3) We were walking too fast. Anyways, lets move on in the Ocean Adventure Fish Tanks...
Of course we need a memento of what we've seen in the place but the problem is uh, the price is way out of my budget! I couldn't imagine a cute dolphin stuff toy costs 350 pesos! Still I would'nt let this chance pass me so I just took a photo of me together with the dolphins! At least I got to hold them!

Well that wraps all about the fieldtrip. You might wonder what had happened inside the bus when we got in. Well I didn't take any pics anymore for I got all scared with the movie they're watching... Yeesh... no more after this... the bus just gets colder as a person goes down. Brrr.Five Day Vacation Spree!
How would you spend your five day vacation huh? Well I’ll start out to enjoy, sleep, eat, watch TV, stay in front of the computer the whole day and better than that, I’m going to go to malls and to the beach! Seriously am I going to do all of these? Well, of course not. Ha! What I’ll do is slouch all day and do my homework. Hay, making me think of all these sucks. Well at least look at the bright side, at least I have something to do.
Anyways, I’ve got some more days to spend limitedly for I guess I have to fear that this school week sensation is going to end soon! Ahh! I need to spend my remaining days wisely. Hmm, let me think… Ok I’ll think about it later after I finish my assignments. What to do, what to do… Ah sorry for putting in too many expressions, I’m just getting bloated of how to spend my free time. Till next time. Boy! Does this vacation spending all the time doing what I don’t know what to do and getting worried about the school day makes me oh, well uh, shucks I… couldn’t describe what I’m feeling right now.
Look at Field Trips the Other Way Around
Heck field trips might be much of fun fun fun but let’s set our minds to the educational part. Not all field trips mean fun too you know especially in our school. We don’t focus on the pleasurable type of spree we’re more on the knowledgeable type. Preferably this should also be practiced often in other schools for your money will just be wasted if all your expeditions aim for nothing and besides, you can do your own field trip if it’s just for leisure. What I mean is what’s the use of wasting your money for playing around with a bunch of students same as your age?
Well let’s talk about the feeling before a field trip. What do you feel, exited, fidgety, oh oh oh, let me guess nothing special just plain ordinary or geez! Do you even have to ask me about that? For me, all I can say is that’s easy; it’s plain old boring of course. I admit, as a student, I already felt the excitement before a field trip even begins. But through the years, I felt the same old thing got used to it and eventually, got bored with it. I don’t know if you felt the same but at least I got to say what I felt.
Man! This is my first fieldtrip going to a faraway place. Subic, once in a lifetime I’d say for its not easy to spend pesos going by yourself here, commuting and everything so I’m glad we had this and I thank our school for making this trip possible. Well, this one’s kind of short for I’m so tired of last Saturday that’s why I even failed to post this last week. Until next time! I got to catch on my sleep and some z’s. Till next time.

Which is better, watching a movie or a stage play?
For me, watching a stage play is better for its more realistic and you really feel the emotions of the characters. They really exert much effort in memorizing lines and doing the choreography all at once plus, the show is live so it really puts pressure on them for if they make a mistake, they couldn’t have a chance to undo it. Unlike in movies, obviously, one actor makes lots of mistakes but due to patching up those ugly scenes, no more of that would be played in television. And, stars in a stage play are really well practiced, well prepared and better in portraying their roles rather than the ones in the movies and television, they have stuntmen instead of them to do the thrilling role themselves so I really could say that movies are not as realistic as stage plays.
Though most people seldom watch stage plays, they would learn to appreciate it once they started viewing it. Not all plays are boring but some movies sure are. Not to mention the long dialog in a movie, it really needs sharpening and lots of relentless efforts of the director and editing team and not the actors compared with the play, it is really the actors who need to edit and make their actions perfect for they cannot change what they’ve done in the actual show time.

Why Like That???
Hey, classmates, what did you all feel about the week that passed? I’ve got a good sentence for that, courtesy of Tenten, “This week is not prolific. “ She got it from the spelling words. Well anyways, pretty boring and nothing much have been learned at all. I was so bored and for sure, everybody was. For a ton of homework loaded upon thy shoulders! Thou cannot find time for thy self anymore. As I was saying, I would not want to repeat everything that I put on by blog the last time (refer to One Week of Exhaustion, Saturdays and Sundays, not enough.) Anyways, can’t we have any assignments for the weekend? I mean please… We all get tired too once in a while and in our part, we really are too shattered too much.

The Man Behind It All
One man, one person, he’s my inspiration. He’s my dad. When I was still young, my father wasn’t always there to take care of us or even play with us. But as soon as I grew older and had a mind of my own, I easily observed that he had those nice traits that most dads with short temper don’t possess. He was very sympathetic for a guy. He doesn’t get angry at our mistakes easily but instead, he teaches us the right thing to do, try to cope up to cope up to our situations just as so that he can grasp our very little problems that made us do these mistakes and in return he gives us those words of wisdom. One more thing, he is a very cooperative man. Nothing could match this trait of his when it comes to helping others. He doesn’t care whether that person isn’t that much of a good guy or a very good guy. He only helps them in the extent that he could do. Finally, the best thing he possesses is being religious. Even if he’s busy at work, he never forgets about God. I always seeing him praying at night and he always invites us to come with him to church and pray. He doesn’t only amaze me but I look up o him as my hero, my role model and my dad, the greatest person who taught me those traits I know today and will continue to practice until I grow up.
At first I didn’t believe it. I thought she was just kidding but then, I told her that what she wrote was fine enough and it touches my heart. She really has grown and I hope she’ll never change as she grows up. –Mauro V. Ilagan-

If parents will listen…
Man, are you part of those who get irritated if certain things are too darn slow?? Well, I wasn’t before but maybe now that I got full of it, might as well join the group. What made be get frustrated about slow stuffs, well let’s say internet connections?
Owww I remember those times we had the computer set up with the Dial up network. Yes the internet this way is affordable and cheaper, more accessible too except if you run out of internet cards. I was so patient with every download I’ll do. Though the file size is only 5 Mb, it’ll take me 20 min just to finish it or if the connection gets lower than a max of 52 Kbps, it’ll take you more than an hour. Talk about waiting for a million years. This stuff doesn’t take a lot out of you but also a whopping portion of your monthly electric bill.
I’ve been trying to tell this to my parents but all they think that’ll I’ll do is to use the connection for playing. Like how could I do that if our computer only has a memory of 160 Mbit of RAM huh? Talk about slow! It’s not only the internet connection but the computer itself as well.
This is just one aspect of stuffs harder to do if they wouldn’t lend you a helping hand. They can’t be blamed for money is hard to get these days. Well, if only….
Nah, never mind about it. Sooner or later if they’re the ones who uses it they’ll realize at least for a few minutes. Why not try it? I tried to make them use the computer with such a crappy connection and guess what happened? Well they started complaining about why is it to slow to load? What’s up with this thing its too slow. Yatta, yatta etc… See, if they complain what more would I?
Hehehehehehe, hope ya guys got something out of this. Pretty weird huh? You’d never know how they’d feel if they are the ones to do it by themselves. Hey, tell me if you experience the same. I really want to know. Well till next time. And if some parents will see this, well, I’m so sorry but this is just my opinion based from what I’ve experienced.

My Familys Tale to Tell
Truly they were a symbol of a happy family. Each cooperated with the farm work great grandfather have been
Still, one must move on so despite of all those tragic events, mom still met up with my Mindoreño dad. Having told me that he just saw mom in her dormitory, he already courted her. Barely unbelievable but yes, it's true. You would never know what gets into peoples heads. Well, that's where me, my sister Mharlotte and brother John Felix comes in. They told us that we were a bunch of annoying and naughty little brats and a little bit of useless. Still, playing was what we always did when we were younger which made us grow a little bit childish. They regretted nothing about this so I can say, we are really one big happy family starting from the roots to the fruits.

What's with Hate???
Does anyone hate something that you don’t know why you hate it?How is it possible to HATE a celebrety , a football club or people who don’t do anything to you for short. All I can tell is…
People dislike some people and like others. Maybe the blog is a good thing. Maybe its an opportunity for people to get things off their chests and not take their hatred out on people around them. Certain posters on here can be verbally abusive and show hate others. I can't imagine what these people must be like to live with.
True but maybe most of them aren`t as bad as they seem to be.Dislike I understand, but it`s all this hate that I don`t get.Maybe they use the word hate instead of dislike, but some people really sound very bitter. It seems they let all the hate go to the celebs, vegetarians or Arsenal, instead of doing something with what`s really the problem in their lives.I don`t say that is the case of everybody but sometimes it seems to be.
All this is getting to nowhere, maybe its just because you’ve got a natural feeling against them that’s all probably, If you hate them then leave them. Don’t bother yourself with such stuffs. What’s important is everybody’s happy. Who cares if you get to hate them. Sooner or laer you’d get to love them too.
Why is this my topic this week? Maybe the tests just got in my head. What if we try to love exam days huh? Probably that’ll get us a higher grade. Man! I’m reall talking to myself. Well time to end this craziness before it gets into a haywire. Till next time. Visit again sometime. Heck what’s all with this goood byes… We’ll see each other next week!

Start Them out Right
For first time moms, children maybe a very big pain in the butt when they start growing at the age of four. They really get into your nerves for they are little toddlers who don’t want to listen when you try to make them obey. If you let them obey, they just keep on complaining about it. Nevertheless if you’d give them a treat, they’d do anything you say. That’s the good part of it but, never ever do this always. Children will think that every time you make them do something, they’d end up asking for something like a prize. They’d grow up in a way of thinking helping has a price to be paid. That isn’t right.
Those were not the only stuffs I got to observe in the neighborhood, though some people here train their children right; most of them just let them walk the streets even at night, unattended with no care of what so ever will happen to his beloved child. Hold on, shouldn’t kids be at home before six? They’ll miss their dinner and be late for bedtime if they don’t. Still, the worse part of that is what if they get kidnapped by some kidnappers lurking around town or if not, they’d get used to that kind of atmosphere and would just grow up enjoying the great life outdoors. Sound like a little camper in the making huh? No! That isn’t exactly what I meant! If they would grow this way, they’d turn out to be the rebellious and hard headed. They won’t look up to you as their parents but just a bunch of policemen who just implements rules on the do’s and don’ts. Much more than that, they’d choose those people who are a bad influence to everybody. Then he’d be a famous burglar and be on the newspapers, next thing you’d know, he already has a reward put on him, about half a million or so. And… Man! It’s too many. The consequences of raising a child the wrong way can be compared to a tree root, they branch out as one grows older.
Well, probably everyone knows the effects of making a child grow the right way. It’s like raising a puppy, if you’d teach them a bunch of good behaviors and nice tricks, they’d grow up loving you but whip them, ignore them and teach them to bite people, and they’d live by that way. Once you wanted to change an old bad dog you raised, it’s too late, and you can no longer teach old dog new tricks.
I hope I made my point and you’d understand what I’ve said. I know all of these because I’m observing these everyday. Though I don’t have plans to raise children, I want to see some being raised the right way, for some moms out there or even big sisters who takes care of their little brothers, what are you waiting for, start them out right! Heck is what I’ve said kind of awkward? Or did I bore you a lot? Sorry ‘bout that. And again this is Maikka saying bye, until next time if you’d ever go visit here again. \m/J\m/
When a person is still young, better train them the way on how to live. Not much of us were started this way but it is really advisable. This became my topic for this week’s blog entry of mine for I remembered this when I saw children in our neighborhood being taught on how to do stuffs at a very young age, about four or five.

What is the Purpose of My Existence

Why do we exist? It surely isn't for ourselves, but for one another. Well, that's what I realized for myself. However, you don't have to be a great thinker to realize this. Common sense is all that is necessary. After all, the fact that we are social animals is self-evident. We would not exist if it were not for the cooperation of two individuals (our parents). So, you see, we need one another.
For some people, they still don't know why but for me, when I got to think of it, this idea entered my mind. People need each other. We will be the ones who'd help others who are in great need or even better is the one who'd return the favor our parents gave us, our life. Helping others does'nt mean that you'd really help everybody in distress but means that you'd help through the extent of what we can give not we couldn't achieve.
Now, I'll explain how this cooperation plays the role in my existence. Even if I was still young, I thought of having a job that could be useful for my family and to others who might need them too so I decided to be a doctor. In this way, I can help maintain my family's health status because most of us are prone to different diseases. I also pity those who couldn't get a regular check-up and a good deal of medicine so I wanted to help them too, in my own little way.

PALcapsule, Only a Few Dosages Required
For three weeks now, surely all of us have their pals and buddy system right. Now let me ask you this, how well do you know you’re buddies? Are they really your friends and those you think you feel close to; are they you’re friends as well? Normally, the straight forward answer is YES. Well, that might not be the truth fairly half true only.
Let me tell the reason, the people you usually bond with is the friend you enjoy to be with. When it comes to a grouping, usually, we’d choose our pals. We’d really get annoyed if we don’t like our group mates, got that right? But do we ever consider doing our best when we don’t like our group mates? NO, that’s the answer. We wouldn’t consider sharing sometimes we even dislike helping for what we think is that the others would take care of the job. Why am I saying this? It’s because this is what I always notice when I usually get to a grouping ever since grade school and I couldn’t believe up to high school.
This is much related to friendship. I never had too much friends. Even if I’ve got lot, they come up leaving me after a year for they move to another school or place. Then I have no communication with them, and the next time I see them, they don’t know me anymore. Isn’t it pretty pitiful on my part? But don’t feel sorry for me (for those who felt sorry only cause I know not all are taking this seriously) Nah, I’m used to that! A life with only three or five friends is enough for me. At least, I have friends.
What is a friend? For me, a friend is somebody who will be with you through thick and thin and who understands and supports you all the way. On the other hand a what we call “friend, friend “ is somebody who’d call you when they need you, who after that would just leave you there or even if you’re just beside him/her doesn’t even take you for consideration or even notice you. I’m just saying all of this for I’ve seen many people pretty like displays these behaviors ever since I entered grade school. Do we need to consider them as nothing at all? Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m really finding this school year, boring and full of competitions up ahead.
This topic I just opened up is too boring huh? Well if you really understood what I said, I’ll end it form here. As I said, Real Friends are what we need, not those who just thinks of you just like that. Without a doubt, I know everybody has them. That’s why they find it hard to be with others whom they find it annoying with. Let me answer my own question, based on what I’ve posted, I’m useless and annoying to be with. Somebody who’d be with me couldn’t even look me straight on the face for they think of one thing, she’s like to old to talk to plus she’s boring, she couldn’t talk about something we like so never mind her. She’s fine there. Let her find her own pals. Well I’m not the oldest here.
Quiet people, probably like me are really boring. Sometimes people really don’t know what we could do or even what we could show. Well, I’m out of here. Till next time and before that, let’s think of this, what’s the use of people around you if you wouldn’t even entertain them. It’s ok for me for I’m used to this life, but how about to others? It takes communication and a time to listen to people to be friends, not popularity. We don’t always have to be IN to be with the gang to get a high reputation to get noticed; all we need to be ourselves and show them our willingness to be with them and share, not take keep it all for yourself. At least they may appreciate that give you a little respect.

One Week of Exhaustion, Weekends? Not Enough!
Nevertheless, students’ lives are so complicated but who would ever imagine that just the second week of classes, a full-time homework reward is what we get! What’s the use of home work? Beats me, but all I know is that these stuffs aren’t necessary at all. You know what they do instead; they drain the remaining hours of our sleep.
Do you get my point? They nothing but, I can’t say a burden but it’s just making our lives a little bit of hard to manage. What the heck are they for! I’ll share my experience with these little stuffs. I had this one subject before, and we’ve got too much researching to do. Not all information was found in one book or an encyclopedia. The only source was that annoying internet. Seeing that I didn’t have much of the money to have an established broadband connection and the capability to rush to a computer center late at night, I had no option but to invent the answers instead. As expected, I got a whopping 20%. Great! I didn’t even have the chance to review that same night because of more stuff to write! The result, don’t even bother asking.
This week wasn’t as great as I thought. It seemed like I didn’t have anything new learned at all. Sometimes, the subjects you thought were fun are more than what meets the eye. At least, I enjoyed some lessons this week but there more lessons on the boredom part.
Well folks, that just adds up every single day. What is it you ask? Try looking in front of the mirror, what do you see?, nothing but an older version of yourself! Full of pimples, big eye bags and an oilier face than before! Thanks to stressful assignments every week.
Maybe you’re wondering why I’m complaining about my assignments. Well, I’ll explain. First of all, the minimum number of homework we have is two, not bad eh? But what I had experienced this week is four a day including one subject that the answers are no where to be found! It’s terribly annoying at all. I lose all my time for the other homework just because of that “very special” homework.
That’s it for now. I’m really exhausted already. At least this blog I wrote helped me a lot in expressing what I felt for this week. See you next time. Man! I can’t believe that I’ll react to home work like this! >_<

It's Friday the 13th!
Well, the number 12 is a sample of a perfect number. Why? Beacause it considered the number of completeness which is reflected in the twelve months of the year, twelve recognized signs of the zodiac, the twelve Apostles of Jesus and many more while thirteen on the otherhand was considered irregular, contravening the idea of twelve's completeness. Not all bad luck is happening in this day because some get very lucky indeed like me, not all people celebrate their birthday in a Friday the 13th.
My number one reason is seeing that my birthday this week falls on Friday, I can further celebrate this memorable day plus wake up late for we don't have classes. I can do anything I want without getting scolded at all. One thing different is I got gifts this day unlike my normal birthday with nothing at all. Though I also tried to give some a treat because it's my birthday, they just decline my offer. Well I can't blame them because it realy is embarassing to be treated by somebody.
The only thing that makes birthdays, let's say "bad", is that everytime one celebrates his birthday, he becomes older and if you have your cake more candles to blow. Very nice. Still what the heck does a few additions to your age do to you but just additions of wrinkles to oldies and some facial changes to teens. Still I hope for more birthdays to come not only to me or to you but to everybody out there. Well till my next post. I hope this didn't bore you a lot.
